Your first 90-second challenge

From spectator
to troublemaker.

Enter the city and choose Challenge Jev. You’ll play your own copy of that moment.

  1. 01MAKE YOUR MOVE

    Pick a pressure point.

Find a station, then choose a disruption. A blackout at Oxford Circus is a good first move; each move can be used once, so the order you play them in matters.

The clock waits for your first disruption.
  2. 02WATCH THE RESPONSE

    See what Jev does.

Follow the highlighted stations, crowding and next AI action. Use your remaining moves when the cooldown clears.

Lower health means more trouble for Jev.

Finish the challenge and share your result link. Your friend can replay it, then try to beat you from the same starting conditions.

You disrupt your copy, never someone else’s.

YOUR TOOLKIT

Four ways to make trouble.

Choose the place. Pick the moment. Watch what changes.

01 / ADD PRESSURE

Passenger surge

Send a burst of passengers into a station and the stations next to it. Try a busy interchange like Oxford Circus.

Targets your selected station

02 / BLOCK A STOP

Station closure

Temporarily close a station. Watch its waiting crowd and the pressure on neighboring stops.

Targets your selected station

03 / HOLD THE TRAINS

Signal failure

Hold trains on the busiest line through your station. Crowding builds along the stops either side.

Targets a line through your station

04 / HIT THREE HUBS

Blackout

Cut power at your station and two nearby hubs. Use the map to follow the affected stations.

Targets your station and two nearby hubs

THE OBJECTIVE

Less health.
More bragging rights.

Try to cause a collapse before the 90 simulated seconds are up. Here’s how completed challenges compare.

  1. 01

    Collapse beats survival.

A broken network beats one still running.

  2. 02

    Both collapse? Earlier wins.

Cause the collapse in fewer simulated seconds.

  3. 03

    Both survive? More damage wins.

Damage is the average health lost across the 90 seconds, so early and lasting pressure counts. Matching results share the same rank.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you break things.

Is this real train traffic?

The station geography is real. Trains, crowding, health and disruptions are simulated. Official TfL alerts and arrivals appear separately as context. Nothing you do affects real transport.

Why can a 90-second challenge take longer?

The clock counts simulated seconds. Jev needs time to make its decisions, and personal play pauses when you leave the page. The first disruption starts your challenge clock.

What’s different about the daily challenge?

Daily challenges use a shared starting setup for each city, rule out one move for the day, and reset at midnight UTC. Completed server-verified runs can enter guest standings. You can use an optional nickname; saving or sharing publishes that name, result and replay.

Can I save before the challenge ends?

Yes. A saved moment or early-ended run is labeled separately from a completed challenge score. Your history stays on this device; shared links let other people open the recorded run.

Will Jev make the same choices in a rematch?

Replay shows the recorded choices. A rematch starts from the same conditions and asks Jev for fresh decisions, so its responses can differ.

Where can I inspect the experiment?

Explore the London results and sources or read the methodology. Health is a game index, not a measure of real-world transit performance.

YOU’VE GOT THE IDEA.

Now give Jev
something to deal with.
